Album of the Week 12-30-23
Submitted by joe shikspack on Sat, 12/30/2023 - 3:00pm
Afternoon folks!
We've got a bunch of good stuff this week. Starting off, we've got an album from B.B. King from earlier in his career with some fabulous guitar playing and after that we've got a compilation album from New Orleans artist Smiley Lewis. Then it's on to blues rock with most of the 50th anniversary edition of Rory Gallagher's second album with some live-in-the-studio extras from Radio Bremen. Following that, there's a later album from Steppenwolf. Finishing up with the diversity picks, there's an album from The Band and a live album from Curved Air.
Have a great holiday weekend and Enjoy!
Here 'tis:
B.B. King - The Soul Of B.B. King
Smiley Lewis - I Hear You Knocking
The Band - Northern Lights, Southern Cross

happy to oblige. i've been enjoying the project of cleaning up and digitizing my vinyl collection, it gives me a reason to listen to albums that i haven't listened to in years.

Thank you for all the tunes this year, joe.
Can't lose with Curved Air. Happy 2024 (FWIW)!!
