Climate Change a Concern for the Rich Only?
So, I read a comment on here that stated that kos suggested that only the rich need worry about climate change.
To provide some context into that, it would seem that people who are concerned with Hillary's tepid stance towards doing something meaningful about climate change is causing concern for many, many people. Bernie is the only candidate within the Democratic primary that seems to actually treat it like the very serious issue that it is. It would then seem that kos tried to dispel their concerns by telling them that rich folks are on it like a bonnet, so no need to worry. Stay calm and vote Hillary. Your betters will take good care of you.
First of all, this is absolutely stupid. Climate change isn't just a concern for the rich, but anyone who is a part of the biosphere should be concerned. This is everyone's problem.
Secondly, it would seem that the more money one has, they less likely they are to act on climate change. In fact, many actively oppose any efforts to mitigate climate change.
If what kos says is true, then I'd have to thank him for the brain cancer that his stupidity just gave me.

Climate change has been championed by rich folks and profiteers
who don't give a fuck about anything further down the road than the next quarterly statement or their golden parachutes. Of course they will fix it as soon as possible, as soon as one of their buddies tell them to CUT IT OUT!
The threat to our habitable climate is bigger than a Trump presidency or an even more right wing Supreme Court. If we don't get the brakes on our warming planet like yesterday, none of the political ramifications of this or that candidate will mean shit after a couple more decades of no significant action.
If we don't get the climate change challenge right, nothing else we do or don't do is going to matter very much for our children and their children.

Katrina hit New Orleans. Or what the hey, the poor don't have any possessions anyway, so it'll be a relative cinch for them to move if their area is hit with floods or storms or drought. Who needs money to survive during emergencies? Not the poors.
