Our party is at a turning point and we need your input immediately to map our path forward.

Every inch of progress we made these past eight years, from marriage equality and affordable healthcare to critical action on climate change, hinges on how Democrats across the country respond to the GOP’s threats.

So as we gear up for the fight ahead, we need to hear directly from you, H. Will you take a moment to complete our Official DSCC membership survey and share your thoughts?

Your answers will be shared with Democratic leaders to help inform critical party decisions, and you will help the DSCC set priorities for the months and years ahead.

Please join Democrats from across the country in sharing your insights >>

We appreciate your input, unwavering dedication, and willingness to fight for change you wish to see in our country.

Thank you,
Team DSCC

They just want to get a few more years out of the con. They already witnessed the hunger for real change in this country and pissed on it with their embrace of the candidate of "More of the Same".

I'm looking elsewhere.

They gave me lists of options I might be concerned about, none of which addressed the corruption, the dependence of candidates on major contributors, etc. They wanted to know which social issues concerned me.

So I answered few and then attempted to write something in the comment area, which allowed only about 80 characters in the window and wouldn't let you scroll back to see what you wrote. I finally had to press enter because the up/down arrows wouldn't even let me go back to the last I wrote, must less earlier phrasing.

THAT'S how interested they are in your input. $$$. Just another play for money.

Usually I jump right on your bandwagon, MsGrin. But don't even go there, gentle reader. They are clearly not listening or even getting ready to listen.

I think the only answer they care about on these "surveys" is how much you're going to donate. Regardless, I left them a note letting them know I won't be a supporter unless and until the DNC is cleaned out and they stop taking money from lobbyists/corporations. I won't be holding my breath. Wink

they don't realize that that's the problem.

Anyway, give us your feedback that we'll ignore but send us $5 or $10 or $25 or $100 or $250.

I looked at it and it is very nearly identical to the type they were sending out at the beginning of the primary. It's nothing but a wrapper to refresh their mail list so that they can hit people up for money.

Thanks for the link. It helps me further distance myself from the party.

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." ---- William Casey, CIA Director, 1981

Could be very bad. The democrats have to defend 25 seats.

The republicans only need 8 more seats to have a filibuster-proof majority.

Lousy survey. So many of the choices didn't interest/apply to me. At least they had a field for comments.

And they left off the most important questions

Asking the right questions is step one. They aren't even there.

I filled in the box at the end and told them to cut all ties to the finance industry. Doubt they will listen, but I'm sitting in a waiting room so why not?

As for my email address, I just gave them a new one.

DSCC and DCCC are extremely aggressive -- obnoxious, to the point of harassment -- with their fund-raising. I've managed to remove myself from their emails and phone calls. Ain't going back again for more.

that I got in the mail in the middle of the primaries. They just tacked on a "GOP Extremism" section, and bullshit about preserving Obama's legacy. Fuck Obama's legacy! His legacy is bombing 8 countries we're not at war with, hundreds of thousands of dead innocent civilians, a large portion of which are just children; an economy in which 71% of the nation made less than $50,000 in 2014, an economy with over half the nation either poor or living in poverty, an economy where less people even bothering to look for nonexistent jobs is spun into a good thing, because those people don't count in unemployment numbers anymore; a more militarized police that is trained to violate rights over protecting civilians and upholding law, to brutalize peaceful protesters and protect corporate interests, to kill without mercy anybody who looks like they won't have a chance at justice; a prison population that is the largest rate in the entire world, a continued racist drug war that targets minorities over Caucasians, even though we all do drugs at the same rate, no matter our race; But hey, he was "our first black president." Too bad he acted exactly the same as so many of our previous white presidents.

I hear legacy. What legacy? ObamaCare? I knew the jig was up when Bam knew that Her Highness was the only one that would safeguard his "legacy." The only candidate he trusted to carry out his third term. They both know where the bodies are buried, so it was a case of mutually assured destruction. One goes down they both go down. "Legacy." LOL. That's a knee slapper.

"how much do you really really love us?" ... a lot ... a heck of a lot ... a super duper lot

No thanks, sorry but no thanks. Not gonna play the game of providing feedback that can and therefore will be seen as positive for the status quo. One tiny little comment box for me to say "try to have actual primaries where the actual real choice gets nominated" just so they can add me to a mailing list again? Nope. Thanks, but I'll pass Smile

As the Republicans become more and more extreme and far right, they follow them rightward in order to occupy "the middle" which they see as the most valuable real estate in politics.

Dems rely on their left wing following along due to the lack of choices and the concept of "lesser evilism" and they always think they are going to pick up Republican "moderates" which either never happens or happens on such a modest scale that the gain in moderates doesn't begin to make up for the loss of liberals.

What they don't seem to get is that in leaving their lefty homeland of wage, worker and labor support and expansion and protection of the safety nets for the mirage of the "middle", they left a green and fertile land for an arid desert that fewer choose to inhabit. In running Motivational Speaker to the 1%, Hilary Clinton, they finally established a rightside boundary that many Dems and Liberals wouldn't cross. They did stay home. 5-6 million missing Dem votes was a game changer.
