House panel looking into Reddit post about Clinton's email server
The House Oversight Committee is reviewing a Reddit post that alleges an IT specialist who worked on Hillary Clinton’s private server sought advice on how to alter the contents of “VERY VIP” emails, according to Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.).
Meadows is the chairman of the panel’s Government Operations subcommittee.
“The Reddit post issue and its connection to Paul Combetta is currently being reviewed by OGR staff and evaluations are being made as to the authenticity of the post,” Meadows told The Hill.
Reddit users appear to have uncovered a two-year-old post from an account believed to belong to Combetta, an engineer with Platte River Networks. The Denver, Colo.-based firm managed Clinton’s private server.
The post, which has been deleted but can be read in images archived by Reddit users, coincides with the discovery of Clinton’s use of the server.

Combetta able to deny??
If Combetta had only one client (Hillary) then the Reddit posts may have some merit. If he had multiple clients at that time then the posts could have been about other VIP's that some other client names that needed erased.

the committee got agreement from State for the records. Its already out there that he knew he wasn't supposed to destroy any data

I'm not here to "spin" for Hillary, but only to comment that nothing has stuck so far, what leads you to believe that this will contribute to Hillary's downfall? - remembering that all involved have either immunity or plan to plead the 5th? Look, I'm on YOUR side but so far nothing sticks to the Hillary campaign...

they're saying "Look, obviously here's a stone that appears to have been un-turned, look what's underneath it". Whatever "authorities" do with that is up to them, whether we know they'll do what they're supposed to do or not. The most important thing is that the knowledge is put out for people to consider.

that piece of tape was on a door lock at the Dem HQ at Watergate that a security officer found (June 17/18). That tape started the investigation. The deleted part of the recorded office tape actually ended the whole shebang, allowing most Republicans to convince Nixon to resign. Tape began it, tape ended it.

The story behind the story is WHY were the techies were granted
immunity? Who actually granted the immunities and what did they cover? What was the rationale?
Here is the $64,000 question -
Why doesn't Congress simply grant Congressional witness immunity and compel them to testify? My understanding is that anything prosecutable revealed by the testimony towards themself is rendered null. I thought this technique was used by Congress when they were more interested in truth than prosecution of a particular witness. Monica Goodling was granted immunity by the House Judiciary Committee when it was headed by Democrat John Conyers and investigating the firing of the USAs in the Bush administration, so it's application has a Democratic precedent.
I ask out of curiosity - if Chaffetz and Gowdy are so exorcised by the immunity, why don't they use one of the tools at their disposal to counter it - their own immunity? Congressional witness immunity could conceivably be broader and even more protective of the witness than what was provided by the FBI, and might even be seen as a benefit of Congressional testimony.

Combetta asked on Reddit about batch editing of email address fields. OK, it's time to speculate about the contents of those email address fields that Hillary wanted to alter.
- President Barack Obama, is this all about a coverup for POTUS? If he knowingly emailed sensitive information to her private server, using her personal email address, then he is in violation of federal statutes. This would be grounds for impeachment and prosecution and would certainly tarnish his legacy, which he is working very hard to tarnish himself with his unabashed promotion of HRC. Perhaps this is because he needs a favorable next president to cover his trail. What has he been up to?
- Email from leaders around the world of nations that are brutal dictatorships and that have a loving relationship with the Clintons. Might not want to see those names published.
- Emails from big corporation CEOs who got favorable treatment from the administration.
- What else?
Looks like Combetta failed, notified the Clinton crime syndicate and then was instructed to go to option number two, permanently delete all of those emails. Option one was preferable because it was much cleaner and would be less likely to get noticed.

I can't believe or I would be incredibly surprised if HRC's tech (who didn't have a security clearance, right?) had access to the entire State Department Server in a way that he could go in and delete his own entire file.
So how did that happen, exactly?
