He was trying to stave off the looming disaster of the Republicans owning all three branches of government. The Clintonians put their noses up at him, and he was by no means joining them. Rather, he was trying to undo the damage they had done by running against Trump supporters when they should have been running against Trump. It came too late, and the Clintonians were undermining the effort at the same time.
for HRC barely before the Cali polls closed. If his motives were to stop Trump he could have done that without joining Team Hillary. I looked at it as a slap in the face to Bernie.
