Standing Rock: More Than 70 Water Protectors Arrested February 1
Yesterday, a group of water protectors set up a small new camp on Lakota Sioux treaty land -- and within hours, the cops and mercenaries came through in force and arrested more than 70 people, including Chase IronEyes. I watched quite a lot of livestream yesterday and there are numerous videos of the invasion and the capture of the people standing up for clean water and their treaty rights as a sovereign nation. Since the water protectors often post unedited video, many are quite long, and I therefore haven't watched everything I'm posting today. If you have time, please bear witness to what is being done to Native people again.

I have heard that the blockade at the Highway 1806 bridge was removed in order to let the military forces sweep through, and at least one report says that the blockade was reinstalled after the raid. I haven't yet been able to find any images of the bridge that are dated today.

Water protectors at the main camp, known as Oceti Sakowin or Oceti Oyate, formed a human wall to prevent the cops from entering the camp. Although the police had promised that they would stay on the other side of the road, they did not. Their attempt at massive intimidation did not work, however, and the main camp was not raided.

In every video, you can hear singing, drumming, chants of Water Is Life and Mni Winconi. In every video, you can hear water protectors trying to reason with the cops and making the point that no one is "rioting," everything is peaceful and prayerful, and it's not possible for the indigenous people to be "trespassing" on their own treaty land.
I've heard reports that tipis were burned, but I can't confirm. I've heard reports that at least one vehicle was set on fire, but I can't confirm if it happened or who might have done it. I do not believe anything that comes from Morton County sheriff's office.
Water Protectors in Court
To add insult to injury, according to local media, 9 water protectors were found guilty of disorderly conduct and other charges in Bismarck.
In another trial, water protector Michael Markus is still being held without bail, based solely on the unsupported testimony of an ATF agent. Part of the vendetta against Markus and IronEyes stems from their vocal resistance and their leadership.
Agents of the authoritarian state are committed to criminalizing resistance and attacking charismatic leaders, trying to throw people into disarray. But every time they silence one of us, three more leaders step up.

Chase Iron Eyes is a very sharp lawyer,
I suspect that he set up the "Last Child" camp, and got arrested there in order to bring the 1851 Treaty back into the courts. It seems to me, that has the potential to go all the way to the Supreme Court. At any rate, I am convinced he knows what he is doing.
Today, however, the BIA, COE, Fish & Wildlife (got your fishing licenses?) and at least one representative from the Standing Rock Tribal Council invaded the Sacred Stone Camp, on LaDonna Brave Bull Allard's private land...without a warrant. I am not convinced they know what they are doing.

The road block is impacting the casino and makes it difficult to get to town for work etc. Many in the tribe are tiring of the situation.

The council (including Archambault) approved
the eviction of the Sacred Stone Camp...now the oldest of the existing camps. I don't know that they had any input into the "Last Child's" camp, which was put up and then razed in the same day.

I think that it's been decided that since TPTB believe themselves powerful enough to ignore people's Constitutional and human rights, they can do as they please, conning the people into submission with created illegal 'Simon Says' 'Law', despite Constitutional guarantees superseding all other law throughout America. The White-House-integrated Google has declared that You-Tube will remove any content their corporate advertisers don't like; this is only to be expected and protest among us all should have been immediate, with alternate sites located/begun and frequented as an alternative to You-Tube. (Mea Culpa - I'm still using it, having been unable to locate anything else so far.) We'll never know all of what's what's being removed from the net, but censorship may occur more slowly in sites not yet assimilated into the Borg.
This is, I suspect, our last ditch before the long drop off the cliff.

There is but one law to which Trump invariably adheres: it is the Golden Rule: "He who has the gold, makes the rules." He doesn't give a crap about what people say about him as long as they spell his name right.

We must bear in mind that it's the corporate/predatory-billionaire/PTB rule, not just Trump's.
And these puppet-masters must be taken out of governance and public policy, not merely their political puppets or self-representatives infiltrating government more directly, in order to resurrect and begin to enforce the concept of democracy to provide any chance of Life's survival even in the very near future.
