Ah, election season. It's a time when corporate Democrats endorse ideas that they've spent a lifetime fighting against, so that they can get the votes of people they hold in contempt.

Normally Senator Feinstein doesn't even bother to do that because of her massive warchest, consistent endorsements by the party establishment and news media, and support by moderate Republicans makes her immune.
