Is She or Isn't She Running? .... Place your bets

I have seen tweets on Twitter saying that she is still paying her staff.

Clinton not ruling out running in 2020: report

Hillary Clinton, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, reportedly has yet to rule out running for the Oval Office again in 2020.

CNN White House correspondent Jeff Zeleny said Sunday on CNN's "Inside Politics" that Clinton told people "as recently as this week" that she isn't "closing the doors to the idea of running in 2020."

"I’m told by three people that as recently as this week, she was telling people that look, given all this news from the indictments, particularly the Roger Stone indictment, she talked to several people, saying 'look, I'm not closing the doors to this,' " Zeleny said

.

"It does not mean that there's a campaign-in-waiting, or a plan in the works," he continued.

The former secretary of State has previously not ruled out another presidential bid, saying last October that she would "like to be president."

Zeleny added that Clinton believes running "could be a possibility,” given that she won the popular vote over President Trump in 2016 and that several former Trump associates have been indicted in special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into Russian interference in that election.

I have no idea how Her thinks that since some of Trump's associates have been indicted would mean that she could win this time. Or why after losing after using her party's intelligence agencies to spy on Trump's campaign and making up fallacies and saying that he is a Kremlin asset would change her chances of winning. But then I'm not in her head.

@Shahryar

is a command that listeners accept the bullshit that's coming their way. It's the inner authoritarian coming forth. It's what a bully says when people don't automatically, subserviently agree with him/Her.

@Shahryar Absolutely!!! This has bothered me (fingernails-on-blackboard level) since she took it up some time ago (not that her voice wasn't already like a power-screwdriver into the ear drums) but what else could she say, it's really the perfect, passive-aggressive control freak coming out in her that cannot be contained. That so many people aped it, and continue to ape it apres 2016-- well, such behavior deserves a good baby-shaking. "Look," matches perfectly with her insulting, insidious, extremely telling 'I'm With Her--' Was there ever a more egotistical, power-hungry, ludicrous, this-is-all-about-me slogan in the history of politics?

The new verbal tick now, heard twenty times a day on NPR, is, "Right?" You can hear this any hour of the day there (NPR), which I listen to occasionally to learn how to hate it the more. "So what's happening in Washington now is, you have this one party, right? And then you have this other emerging party, right? And then-- right?" ad nauseum. The antidote to this audial Molotov Cocktail is to talk back. Whenever HER (or anyone really-- guilt by association at this point) says look, answer, "No, YOU look." Shuts them up all the time. And once you get "right?" three times in one sentence, answer, "Sorry, wrong." This works marvelously for me. Then again, I'm self-employed, and don't suffer fools...

People putting an unnecessary "So," at the beginning of a statement. The speaker is baselessly claiming authority for the following statement. It's another popular a verbal tic.

With so many potential Dem candidates it is likely that no one will get 50% +1 on the first ballot at the convention. The super delegates will beg her to enter to save the day. She will graciously accept as a sign of party unity.
TRUMP will be a 2 term President.

@humphrey
She’s the only possible Democratic candidate that could possibly lose to Trump.....TWICE! However, I think it’s more likely that most of the also-rans will bow out before the convention leaving the delegates a choice between Her and some other proven loser. This half of the uni-party would rather lose than shift left and win in a landslide.

@humphrey I see her "swooping in to save the day" if Sanders, Gabbard, or Warren have a strong lead. She can't save the party from Trump, but she thinks she can save it from the voters.

I do not pretend I know what I do not know.

If a progressive polls well against Trump, she's in.
History shows the establishment Dems will put her on the ballot, based on a progressive's polls, despite (or because?) her polls showing she will lose.

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." ---- William Casey, CIA Director, 1981

All this “not ruling out” talk is as good as a “I am running” in US politics. If HER wasn’t running, why not say it and Stop sucking up all the oxygen being coy. Plus, HER and HER minions will not accept HER loss in 2016 and it feels to me like the Dems have made every move possible to keep HER turn open.

@EdMass

just a scenario, not a prediction...

Bernie does really well, is obviously headed for the nomination, Hillary jumps in saying "look, he's not a Democrat", Bernie wins the nomination anyway but hillbots all over the country are mad and refuse to to vote for him in the general election which he loses. Then the hillbots claim it was because he was too far left.

In other words, if Bernie were to win the nomination the hillbots would do exactly what they incorrectly accuse us of doing in 2016.

In fact, the more I think about it, the more I think they project on us what they feel in reverse. They would deliberately sabotage anyone on the left, much like the Blairites want to do in Britain.

She's like a urinary tract infection. Just when you think it's finally over, it comes roaring back to life again.

Meanwhile, from Kamala's website, here's her "platform":

Kamala Harris has spent her entire life defending our American values. From fighting to fix our broken criminal justice system to taking on the Wall Street Banks for middle-class homeowners, Kamala has always worked For The People.

That's it! Short, sweet and completely meaningless. So depressing....

If she were to run again, she would be a sexist and racist against Kamala Harris and Tulsi Gabbard, sexist against Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Amy Klobuchar, and racist against Cory Booker. How can she be such a bigot by running again??!!
