Speaking of Nazis

After seven months of hearing Jewish-led peace protests being compared to Nazi Germany, and an enormous police crackdown that we've haven't seen since the 1960's, I think its time to check what the actual Nazis have been up to.
In Charleston a few weeks ago.

Observers on social media quickly noted the absence of a police presence around the neo-Nazis’ flash demonstration. While some video showed police vehicles trailing the parade from a distance, that appeared to be the extent of officers’ interaction with them—a stark contrast to the heavy presence on college campuses, where university protesters and faculty have been subject to violent arrests over the past week and a half.

In Nashville a few months ago.

Pohlhaus, who uses the moniker “The Hammer” in white power spaces online, heads the neo-Nazi group Blood Tribe and led the group in antisemitic and racist chants as they marched through downtown Nashville. Dressed in matching red shirts, black pants and black face coverings to conceal their identities, members of the Blood Tribe and associated neo-Nazi groups brandished black-and-white swastika flags, paraded through crowded streets in the afternoon, and then listened to Pohlhaus and another speaker talk about Tennessee historical figures and migrants using antisemitic dog whistles outside the state Capitol, according to video Pohlhaus posted to Telegram.
...On Feb. 14, three days before the Blood Tribe march, lawmakers in a Tennessee House committee approved a bill that would effectively ban Pride flags from public schools, but it is less clear whether the proposed bill would protect flags like the Nazi swastika.

In Wisconsin in January.

Monday is the first day of a new semester for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Some students are alarmed after a neo-Nazi demonstration took place on campus Sunday evening.
The university said a group screamed racist chants outside Knilans residence hall, lighting flares and displaying antisemitic symbols.
Students caught the display on camera. The video shows four people in red jackets. They can be heard chanting, "There will be blood," and projecting a swastika onto the outside wall of the dorm.

As far as I can tell there wasn't a single arrest made during these anti-semitic marches.
There was a single arrest in Missoula when they assaulted a jewish man outside of a synagogue.

The group included members of the National Socialist Movement, according to the Montana Human Rights Network. At least one member of the group was arrested on Saturday after the rally moved downtown.
“We are all aware that attacks on Jews around the world have stepped up since October 7,” the Zootown Jews stated in an email. “We have heard of at least one recent incident in Missoula in which a Jewish man was accosted and subjected to a very frightening anti-semantic rant by a stranger.”

Last September a small Neo-nazi rally in Ventura had no arrests despite physical assaults.

Ventura police said a fight involving a group of neo-Nazi demonstrators in Downtown Ventura caused at least two injuries but ultimately no arrests were made. Commander Ryan Weeks told the Ventura County Reporter officers were called to the 600 block of Main Street at about 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8.

While Pro-Israel thugs are being funded to attack peaceful encampments, while Congress moves to restrict free speech, it's incredibly obvious that these people don't care about safety of Jews, or free speech on campuses, or antisemitism. This is ONLY about Israel. You can say whatever you want about the American government, or any other government, but not Israel.

Quoting from the linked post:

But in case we're confused, HR 6090 and the IHRA offer helpful guidance:

(2) includes the “[c]ontemporary examples of antisemitism” identified in the IHRA definition.

These start off alright:

o Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of a radical ideology or an extremist view of religion.

In the case of federally-funded programs, yeah, I think this is a fair bar. Let's see what some of the other examples are:

o Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations.

Does that mean Jewish citizens as a whole, or does it preclude making such a charge against any Jewish citizen, for example a certain pint-sized fast-talking podcaster?

o Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.

Well that sounds like a protected political statement.

o Applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation.

Hell, I'd settle for the same standards, but I suspect that violates this as well.

o Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis.

Apparently an illustrated Christian Bible would violate this definition.

o Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

I only used about a third of the examples, but worry not, they're clear that the list is not exhaustive.

Another great example of broken lawmaking. Your tax dollars at work...

....with Ukrainians. They are eliminating Nazis and are angry and disheartened over how many conscripted Ukrainian civilians have been co-opted and killed.

A million people have died for absolutely nothing just because the US government had decided to support Ukrainian Nazis.
