The “Rules-Based International Order”

The “rules-based international order” has allowed the incineration of Gaza, and the bombing of Yemeni forces who are trying to stop it.

The “rules-based international order” allowed hundreds of thousands of people to be killed by western-backed Saudi atrocities in Yemen.

The “rules-based international order” allowed NATO powers to knowingly provoke a world-threatening proxy war in Ukraine.

The “rules-based international order” allowed western powers and their regional partners to plunge Syria into a horrific civil war by flooding the nation with heavily armed fascistic extremist factions.

The “rules-based international order” has allowed the US to invade and occupy a vast stretch of Syrian territory in order to control the nation’s natural resources and prevent reconstruction.

The “rules-based international order” allowed Libya to be turned into a chaotic hellscape after western-backed forces killed Gaddafi following a long-desired western regime change operation disguised as “humanitarian intervention”.

The “rules-based international order” allowed the invasion of Iraq to destabilize an entire region resulting in millions of deaths following a campaign of deliberate lies and propaganda.

The “rules-based international order” allowed the invasion of Afghanistan and a decades-long occupation sustained by lies and corruption.

The “rules-based international order” allowed the imprisonment of Julian Assange for journalistic activities exposing US war crimes.

The “rules-based international order” has allowed the planet to be circled by hundreds of US military bases, including in places where the people who live there vehemently oppose their presence like Okinawa, Iraq and Syria.

The “rules-based international order” has allowed the US and its allies to kill huge numbers of civilians with siege warfare tactics in nations like Yemen, Iraq and Venezuela.

The “rules-based international order” has allowed the US to interfere in scores of elections around the world at will and forcibly topple inconvenient governments whenever it wants to.

The “rules-based international order” has allowed China to be surrounded by a rapidly increasing amount of US military bases and war machinery in preparation for a future conflict of unimaginable horror.

The “rules-based international order” has allowed the US to plunge the world into a new cold war with rapidly-escalating brinkmanship against nuclear-armed Russia and China.

The “rules-based international order” has allowed our civilization to be controlled by the most powerful propaganda system ever devised, creating a mind-controlled dystopia of brainwashed gear-turners who are deceived into believing they are free.

The “rules-based international order” has allowed unfathomable amounts of government malfeasance to be hidden behind an increasingly opaque wall of government secrecy.

The “rules-based international order” has allowed the interests of ordinary human beings to be subordinated and subjected to the interests of billionaire corporations and sociopathic government agencies.

The “rules-based international order” has allowed the destruction of our ecosystem for the enrichment of powerful plutocrats.

The “rules-based international order” has allowed our planet to be dominated by an empire of extreme murderousness and depravity at the cost of nonstop bloodshed and ever-increasing tyranny.

If the “rules-based international order” has allowed all these things to happen, what kind of “rules” are we talking about exactly? And what kind of “order” do they sustain?

If this is what the “rules-based international order” looks like, would we not, perhaps, be better off without it?

Netanyahu pledges to defy International Court of Justice as Gaza death toll mounts

In a speech Saturday marking 100 days of Israel’s onslaught on Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to continue the massacre in defiance of international law. “We will restore security to both the south and the north,” Netanyahu vowed. “No one will stop us—not The Hague, not the axis of evil, and not anyone else.” Netanyahu pledged “to fight on to the end—until complete victory.” He continued, adding, “We will not stop until we achieve victory.”

Netanyahu angrily denounced the genocide case against Israel brought before the International Court of Justice in the Hague, the Netherlands, by South Africa. He called the case a “hypocritical attack in The Hague on the Jewish state that rose from the ashes of the Holocaust,” and “a moral low in the history of nations.” He vowed, “This international defamation campaign will not weaken our hands or weaken our determination to fight to the end.”

In the most explicit terms to date, Netanyahu sought to directly implicate the United States in the war crimes of the Israeli military, saying that he told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that “this is not only our war, this is also your war.” Indeed, the genocide in Gaza is “America’s war.” The United States has provided over 10,000 tons of military equipment to Israel since October 7, transported in 244 cargo plane flights and over 20 ships. ...

In his own statement marking the 100th day of the war, President Joe Biden did not mention, much less express sympathy with, the Gazans who have been killed or the 1.9 million Gazans who are facing starvation and displacement. Instead, the entirety of the three-paragraph statement was directed toward Israelis held hostage by Hamas, whose captivity the Netanyahu regime is using as a pretext to carry out its genocide. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken echoed these statements, declaring, “The United States will not rest until all remaining hostages, including six Americans, are reunited with their loved ones.”

In its statement marking the 100th day of the attack, the Euro-Med monitor reported that approximately 100,000 Gazans have been killed, reported missing or wounded since October 7. It noted that 31,497 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been killed to date by Israeli bombings. It estimated that a staggering 28,961, or 92 percent, were civilians “including 12,345 children, 6,471 women, 295 health personnel, 41 civil defense personnel, and 113 journalists.”

100+ Days into Israel's War on Gaza, Doctors Demand Ceasefire to Address "Apocalyptic" Health Crisis

100 Days Into War on Gaza, UN Leaders Renew Call to Prevent Famine

After Israel's war on the Gaza Strip hit the 100-day mark this past weekend, United Nations humanitarian leaders on Monday emphasized the risk of famine and disease in a joint demand for dramatically increasing the flow of aid in the besieged enclave.

The U.N. Children's Fund (UNICEF), World Food Program (WFP), and the World Health Organization (WHO) are calling for "the opening of new entry routes; more trucks being allowed through border checks each day; fewer restrictions on the movement of humanitarian workers; and guarantees of safety for people accessing and distributing aid."

Since October 7—when over 1,100 people were killed and around 240 others were taken hostage in the Hamas-led attack on Israel—U.S.-backed Israeli forces have killed more than 24,000 Palestinians in Gaza, displaced roughly 90% of the strip's 2.3 million residents, and devastated civilian infrastructure in what many world leaders and experts have decried as genocide, leading to a hearing at the International Court of Justice.

"People in Gaza are suffering from a lack of food, water, medicines, and adequate healthcare," WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Monday. "Famine will make an already terrible situation catastrophic because sick people are more likely to succumb to starvation and starving people are more vulnerable to disease."

"We need unimpeded, safe access to deliver aid and a humanitarian cease-fire to prevent further death and suffering," he stressed, echoing weekend marches worldwide advocating for an end to the violence.

The most recent Integrated Food Security and Nutrition Phase Classification (IPC) report—based on conditions from November 24 to December 7—found that 93% of Gaza's population, or over 2 million people, faced high levels of acute food insecurity.

MSM IGNORES ICJ Genocide Case Against Israel, Biden ‘LOSING PATIENCE’ With Netanyahu

Hamas says two Israeli hostages have been killed by Israeli airstrikes

Hamas has released a video announcing the death of two Israeli hostages and claimed that they were killed by Israeli airstrikes. The video showed a female hostage named in Israeli media as Noa Argamani, 26, speaking under duress, revealing that two men she was held captive with had been killed in captivity. It was not clear when or where the video was filmed and there was no independent confirmation of Hamas’s claims.

The three hostages were shown in a 37-second Hamas video released on Sunday in which the group urged the Israeli government to halt its aerial and ground offensive and bring about their release. The undated clip ended with the caption: “Tomorrow [Monday] we will inform you of their fate.”

In a statement released with the new video, Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam brigades, said the two men, believed to be Yossi Sharabi, 53, and Itay Svirsky, 38, had been killed in “the Zionist army’s bombing”.

Israeli military spokesperson, Rear Adm Daniel Hagari, identified one of the hostages as Itai Svirsky, but said that contrary to the Islamist group’s claim, he was not killed by Israeli fire. “Itai was not shot by our forces. That is a Hamas lie. The building in which they were held was not a target and it was not attacked by our forces.” He did not give the name or other details about the second person named by Hamas, as per the family’s request.

Matthew Hoh: How the Media Distorts Gaza

Oh looky, Bernie's acting like he cares again and is launching a train to nowhere.

Sanders to Force Senate Vote on Probing Israeli War Crimes

Sen. Bernie Sanders said Sunday that he will force a Senate floor vote this week on a resolution that would suspend aid to Israel if the U.S. State Department fails to report on how Israeli weapons—many of them supplied by the United States—are being used in Gaza.

Appearing on CNN's "State of the Union," Sanders (I-Vt.) told host Jake Tapper that he will force a Tuesday evening vote on his resolution, which is based on Section 502B(c) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, legislation empowering Congress to "request information on a particular country's human rights practices and to alter or terminate U.S. security assistance to that country in light of the information received."

If the resolution passes, the Biden administration would be compelled to provide a report on Israeli rights violations within 30 days or trigger a suspension of all U.S. assistance to its key Middle Eastern ally.

"What is going on in Gaza right now is a horrendous humanitarian catastrophe," said Sanders—who has infuriated many progressives by refusing to support a cease-fire. "We're looking at 23,000 people who have been killed. Almost 60,000 have been wounded. And two-thirds of the people who have been killed are women and children. You're looking at 70% of the housing units in Gaza that have been destroyed."

Houthis Strike US-OWNED VESSEL In Red Sea, Biden Cannot BOMB YEMEN Into Submission

Houthi attacks continue as US cargo ship hit in defiance of strikes on Yemen

The Iran-backed Houthi militia group has continued to attack commercial shipping, hitting an American-owned container ship with a ballistic missile in defiance of a wave of US and UK strikes on Yemen. The strike against the Marshall Islands-flagged Gibraltar Eagle container ship represented a widening of the theatre of war beyond the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden. The strike hit the cargo hold of the ship and while it was thought to have caused no major damage, will add to fears that the US and UK strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen have not degraded the militia group’s ability to threaten commercial shipping.

Qatar became the latest major user of container ships to announce it will not send liquid gas through the Red Sea for the foreseeable future. The level of traffic was said to have dropped markedly overall since the US and UK strikes on Thursday.

The Houthis, an Iranian-backed Shia group that has been battling for control of Yemen for more than 20 years, say the more than 30 attacks on commercial shipping over the past six weeks are part of an effort to put pressure on Israel to allow more humanitarian aid into Gaza.

The Houthis’ chief negotiator, Mohammed Abdulsalam, said on Monday that the group’s position had not changed after the US-led strikes, and indicated that strikes would continue on ships heading to Israel: “Our position on the events in Palestine and the aggression against Gaza has not changed and would not change, neither after the strike nor after the threats. “The attacks to prevent Israeli ships or those heading to the ports of occupied Palestine are continuing.”

The Houthis say an Israeli ceasefire in Gaza would immediately lead to the free flow of ships through the Red Sea, and lift pressure on global supply chains.

Iran Launches Ballistic Missile Strikes in Iraq and Syria

Iran said on Monday that its forces launched ballistic missile strikes in Iraq and Syria that targeted “spy headquarters and the gathering of anti-Iranian terrorist groups” as regional tensions continue to soar.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said the strikes in Syria targeted ISIS members who were involved in the recent bombing in Kerman, Iran, which killed 94 people. ISIS had taken responsibility for the January 3rd attack, which targeted a commemoration ceremony for Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani, who was killed by the US in 2020.

The IRGC said the strikes in Iraq targeted “the espionage headquarters of Israel’s Mossad” in Iraqi Kurdistan’s capital of Erbil. Multiple missile strikes were reported in Erbil near the US consulate, but there’s no indication the facility was hit.

Federal Employees to Stage Walk Out Over Biden’s Support for Gaza Slaughter

Federal employees from nearly two dozen US government agencies will walk off their jobs on Tuesday in protest of President Biden’s full-throated support for Israel’s brutal assault on Gaza, Al-Monitor reported on Friday.

The Biden administration has faced significant internal dissent over the Israeli slaughter in Gaza, which has killed nearly 24,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children. Officials from across government agencies have signed letters protesting the US support for Israel, but a walkout will be the most dramatic step yet, besides the two resignations from administration officials.

Dozens of US officials are organizing the walkout as a group calling itself Feds United for Peace. They expect hundreds of other federal employees to join them on Tuesday.

Ukraine shoots down two Russian aircraft

Ukraine’s military has shot down two of Russia’s command planes, in one of the most disastrous days for the Kremlin’s air power since the start of Vladimir Putin’s full-scale invasion.

Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine’s commander in chief, said his air force had destroyed an A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft and an Il-22 control centre plane. Both were flying above the Sea of Azov on Sunday when they were hit at 9.10pm local time.

The A-50, which detects air defences and coordinates targets for Russian jets, crashed instantly, killing its crew. The badly damaged Il-22 appears to have made an emergency landing at an airfield in Anapa, Russia.

It is unclear how Ukraine managed to target and shoot down the planes. One theory is that a Patriot anti-aircraft missile battery – supplied by the US – was used. This, however, would involve moving the system close to the frontline where it could be detected.

Russian officials said they have “no information” about what exactly happened. Pro-Kremlin bloggers suggested the planes were hit by friendly fire or even shot down by a team of British SAS operatives using surface-to-air missiles.

World’s five richest men double their money as poorest get poorer

The world’s five richest men have more than doubled their fortunes to $869bn (£681.5bn) since 2020, while the world’s poorest 60% – almost 5 billion people – have lost money.

The details come in a report by Oxfam as the world’s richest people gather from Monday in Davos, Switzerland, for the annual World Economic Forum meeting of political leaders, corporate executives and the super-rich.

The yawning gap between rich and poor is likely to increase, the report says, and will lead to the world crowning its first trillionaire within a decade. At the same time, it warns, if current trends continue, world poverty will not be eradicated for another 229 years.

Highlighting a dramatic increase in inequality since the Covid pandemic, Oxfam said the world’s billionaires were $3.3tn (£2.6tn) richer than in 2020, and their wealth had grown three times faster than the rate of inflation.

The report, Inequality Inc., finds that seven out of 10 of the world’s biggest corporations have a billionaire as CEO or principal shareholder, despite stagnation in living standards for millions of workers around the world.

White House targeted in ‘swatting’ attack while Joe Biden is away

The White House on Monday became the latest victim of a growing US problem of “swatting”: the summoning of large numbers of law enforcement personnel and other first responders to a hoax emergency incident.

Multiple Washington DC fire and ambulance crews rushed to the White House following an emergency call that was received at 7.03am, a spokesperson for District of Columbia fire and emergency medical services said. Joe Biden was not at the residence, and the call was later traced to a fake number.

The spokesperson said a “significant” number of personnel had reached the site when the call, which reported a fire and a person trapped, was determined to be false a little more than 15 minutes after it was received.

The Secret Service referred requests for comment to the DC emergency services. CNN reported details of the dispatch radio call reporting a fire at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, made at 7.04am, one minute after the phone call.

The criminal act of swatting has become prevalent in recent weeks, with an increasing number of politicians, judges and other prominent officials targeted.

Border dispute between White House and Texas escalates after three drown

A dispute between the White House and Texas intensified on Monday after the Biden administration declared that state officials acted unconstitutionally by blocking federal agents from a section of the border where a migrant mother and two children drowned in the Rio Grande.

The Texas military department (TMD) fenced off a large public park at Eagle Pass last week on the orders of the Republican governor, Greg Abbott, who boasted on Friday “we are not allowing border patrol on that property any more”.

The Mexican woman, her eight-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son, drowned near Shelby park later the same day. Border agents, believing they were still alive, were “physically barred” by Texas authorities from entering the park and trying to reach them, the homeland security department said.

“Texas’s failure to provide access to the border persists even in instances of imminent danger to life and safety,” Jonathan Meyer, the department’s general counsel, wrote to the Texas attorney general, Ken Paxton, in a letter, first reported by CNN. ... Meyer said the state’s actions were unconstitutional, and had “impeded operations”, and he threatened more legal action against Texas if access was not restored by Wednesday. ...

The finger-pointing over the deaths represent a significant escalation of Abbott’s feud with the Biden administration over immigration enforcement, which the supreme court has consistently ruled comes under the jurisdiction of the federal government.

Asian hornets killing off honeybees in Europe, say MEPs

Italian MEPs are calling on the European Commission to crack down on Asian hornets, which are spreading across some EU countries and killing off bees. The yellow-legged hornets, native to south-east Asia, were first identified on the continent two decades ago, arriving in France before spreading to Spain, Belgium, Holland, Portugal and Italy, where after first appearing in 2012 they are causing havoc in the country’s northern regions.

There was also a sharp rise in sightings of the invasive species in the UK last year. Bees are vital for the production of honey and maintaining a healthy ecosystem.

The Asian hornet was a “voracious predator” with a capacity to kill up to 30 bees a day, the MEP Salvatore De Meo told Il Messaggero. “Since 2004, this has caused a significant decline in the bee population in some EU countries,” he said. “This phenomenon jeopardises traditional pollinators, especially the honeybees on which the production of high-quality Italian honey depends, and risks damaging our biodiversity.”

You know, I was thinking of writing to my senators and rep about you know stopping the genocide, war in ME, war in Europe, health care, infrastructure, etc. Now that would a train to nowhere launched by me. And all three are supposedly liberal/progressives. Never know it by their recent voting records.

Going to do research instead on best foods to give to food pantries and food banks.

@MrWebster @MrWebster Depending on who you wish to assist, and how things are situated in your locale, you mentioned something that I will rise to in this manner.
Locally, our Food Bank has a CEO who was selected based (according to words) on his ability to fundraise. He must be very effective, because the pay he received to begin with, was outrageous.
Then came the raises, and the whiff of scandalous resentment for his income from a charitable org. For some reason, an institution based on TAX DEDUCTIBLE charitable giving required the charm of this lowlife individual. (There may be no limit to the money saved/made by food distributors/markets who release their spoilage to various charitable causes. We aint just working for free out here, we are working for free for billionaires who are profiting from volunteer efforts.)
His actual story involved his position in the City of Fresno as essentially the OG architect of anti homeless policies reflected in a litany of pointlessly cruel acts and numerous deaths, even at the doorstep of the dominant local shelter. The result of the cities abominable practices was an ACLU lawsuit that collected over two million dollars in a class action.
Now fifteen years later I find that we have earned the BOTTOM slot in the 58 listed California cities for diversity and equity. Only a few steps from last place in the national rankings.
Just a bit of a heads up, those organizations are hardly free from stains. The setup locally is far south of town, and anyone without a vehicle is well and totally fucked.
There are other courses of action you might wish to consider.

Good gravy I can’t believe that she is still swilling that slop on her viewers or that they are still drinking it.

I think if Trump has to pay a huge fine in NYC for exaggerating how much his buildings are worth it’s going to be overturned on appeal. I can’t understand how the judge can just make up a number for his property and then fine him for something that the defense has proven that’s how the business works.

As for Israel denying that they are trying to kill everyone in Gaza and their ridiculous defense of the charge of genocide we just have to remember that they cut off food, water, electricity and fuel after they said they would do just that. Plus they have told hospitals that they were going to drop bombs on them and they also told journalists that they were going to be killed. That’s targeting hospitals deliberately which is a war crime and murder.

I certainly don’t think that 17 people should get to decide whether Israel is committing genocide. Not when billions of people think they are. And for gawd’s sake why would it take years for a decision.

Bernie is always a dollar short and a day late. You should see some of the comments on him on the Twit. Lots of angry people out there.m

In a striking turn of events, the Iowa caucuses have cast a shadow of doubt over Orange Mussolini's position as the de facto leader of the Republican Party. Despite being the closest thing to an incumbent in the GOP, Trump's performance in Iowa raises questions with anyone who knows anything about politics, about his appeal among the party as a whole. Securing barely 51% of the vote. Translation: in record breaking subzero temperatures, nearly 50% of the base of the base risked their lives to vote against Donald Trump. To place that number in perspective, Joe Biden is leading his current opponents by as much as 70% in recent polls.

Joe Scarborough of MSNBC highlighted this concern on "Morning Joe." He drew a comparison with former President Barack Obama, suggesting that if Obama were to re-enter politics after a hiatus, he would likely command overwhelming support from Democratic voters in a similar caucus scenario. In contrast, nearly half of the Republican caucus-goers in Iowa chose to vote against Trump, a reality that Scarborough and others view as a weakness, especially considering Trump's significant influence in shaping the modern Republican Party. What is even more of a flashing red light for the republican party is at over 30% of Iowa caucus colors goers say that Trump would "not be fit" for office should he be convicted as is appearing more inevitable.

I doubt Obama would do as well as Joe thinks he would because they is a lot anger at him for how he only represented the 1% and told the 99% that we were on our own.

And maybe people didn’t vote against Trump, but voted for the other candidates they liked better. Sheesh I can’t believe that shitlibs keep running out this dawg poo every election season. But no matter which way you slice the votes Trump still won.

BTW this is the most important election evah and I’m seeing republicans saying that too. The Supreme Court appointments are dead in the water and Trump got to appoint 3 because Hillary cheated Bernie who was beating Trump in the polls. So there.

it appears that there's a lot of wishful thinking in "political analysis" these days.

i can't see how the new york fraud trial will not be overturned on appeal. it's clear that the judge is either incompetent, hostile to trump or both. his approach to property valuation is pretty absurd as is his apparent thinking that the lending institutions were fooled by trump's valuations.

Sure, he did it, if he, in fact, did, for personal gain, but if the banks weren't harmed then, depending upon the details of NY law, it gets really murky, starting with how the hell does NY get jurisdiction over what is properly a civil dispute between DJT and the banks.

exactly. what i guess i was driving at was that banks are "sophisticated investors" in the parlance of regulatory agencies who are supposed to keep the rubes from being taken to the cleaners by wall street scum under certain circumstances. sophisticated investors are not scrutinized closely when they make what might be investments with higher risk levels.

surely the banks, who as everybody seems to admit were not harmed by any assertion that trump may have made, have the means to calculate the risks that they can take and/or absorb.

Watch: Maddow Melts Down Over "Rise Of Fascism"; Joy Reid Says Trump Iowa Caucus Landslide Proves White Christians Are Racists

Naturally, leftists had an absolute meltdown, with Rachel Maddow heading up the line, declaring she is “worried about potential rise of fascism in this country.”

“If we’re worried about our democracy falling to an authoritarian and potentially fascist form of government. The leader who is trying to do that is part of that equation… Is a much bigger part of that equation,” she added.

Additionally, as @TexasLindsay_ posted on Secret "Rachel Maddow admits on air that they’ve decided to censor the leading Republican candidate’s victory speech and will decide what they want the public to know later. This why no one trusts the media—their tactics are exactly like 1984."

Be afraid…be very afraid even though Rachel doesn’t explain how Trump is a fascist. And Jen Psakiopath nods along with Rachel and says ahum. Sadly though MSDNC didn’t give Rachel 20 minutes to finally get to her point. It looks like Trump is still living rent free in Rachel’s brain. I wonder if there is a vaccine for this?

Ehh?

Maddow was not alone in her melt-down-ness...

As Jonathan Turley reports, MSNBC host Joy Reid led this effort by declaring that “White Christians” are racists who want minorities to “bow down” to them.

Reid asked about this manifest racism of white Christians in a conversation with Robert “Robbie” Jones, the president and founder of Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) and author of “The Hidden Roots of White Supremacy.”

Reid explained to anyone who was confused about their white Christian neighbors:

“All the things that we think about, about electability, about what are people gaming out, but none of that matters when you believe that God has given you this country, that it is yours, and that everyone who is not a White, conservative Christian is a fraudulent American, is a less real American.

Then you don’t care about electability. You care about what God has given you.”

“It is religion And I think what we have to actually confront – and this is what the Democrats are going to face – is this is now what White evangelicalism is. It is Christian nationalism. That’s the name of it, right?”

It is all part of “White evangelical Christians of a certain mindset … that they own this country, that immigrants, that Brown people, that Hindus like Vivek Ramaswamy and his wife are illegitimate Americans. They are less legitimate Americans than they are...

They’re not trying to convince people and win people over through politics. What they’re saying is, ‘We own this country, and everyone will bow down to us.’”

heh, actually, one of the things that i worry about is what happens if netanyahu does not get his way. i think that he might just be inclined to use the nukes. i think that the israeli fruitcake brigade calls it the "samson option."

Any government worker who walks off the job to protest U.S. support for our ally Israel is ignoring their responsibility and abusing the trust of taxpayers. They deserve to be fired.

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

What a great name - 'Cookie and his Cupcakes' ... a perfect match to such sweet music.

I wish that all living things could have just a little more sweetness in their lives. The +972 article was very powerful. I find a profound intimacy, as well as universality in Banksy's work. It speaks to the very fundamentals of humanity. Thank you for highlighting his comment. We need more artists of all kinds to be in a position to create a better world. Thank you joe, and all here for your contribution to ongoing growth of a good nature and a curious mind.

@janis b

a little more sweetness could go a long way. the vast majority of people on the planet just want to live in peace, raise their kids and have a decent life with moderate prosperity and dignity.

someday, maybe.
